Speculation mounts for Donegal candidates to secure Seanad seat

Ahead of the Taoiseach's nominees for the extra 11 Seanad seats being announced there is speculation that either Nikki Bradley or John McNulty could secure a nomination.

 

 

Fine Gael were unsuccessful in securing a seat in November's election and the Irish Times are reporting that either of their party's defeated candidates could secure a nomination.

Fianna Fáil's Niall Blaney was re-elected to the Seanad's Agricultural Panel.

The Donegal based senator who contested the 2024 eurpean elections secured over 96 thousand votes and was the first elected to the Agricultuarl panel.
