Just under nine million euro has been allocated to the North West counties of Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal through the sports Sport Capital Grant programme.
Sligo has received 2.183 million euro, 5.654 million has been allocated to Donegal while Leitrim sports Clubs will receive 1.109
Cathaoirleach of Sligo County Council Paul Taylor says the funding now more than ever will be crucial for Clubs as they emerge from two years of restricted fundraising due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
