St. Angela's College in Sligo to benefit from €1.4m funding

St. Angela's College in Sligo to benefit from €1.4m funding

St. Angela’s College in Sligo has got a 1.4m euro boost.

The funding has been announced by Education Minister and Donegal TD Joe McHugh and the Minister of State with responsibilituy for Higher Education Mary Mitchell O Connor.

St Angela's, a college of the National University of Ireland, Galway, has seen a significant increase in student numbers, 20% in 2017 and 10% last year.

It's the only home economics college in the country and is corrently working on a major campus development project.

Fine Gael Sligo/Leitrim election candidate Senator Frank Feighan says the money now allocated will go toward refurbishment and new building.
