Organisers of the Sligo Air Show have released a statement following the decision to cancel the popular event this year.
It was confirmed yesterday that the Air Show, due to be held this weekend at Sligo Airport, would not be going ahead as planned.
In the statement, event organisers said that the event was cancelled due to circumstances beyond their control, and those who had bought tickets for the event would receive a full refund.
People are advised that they do not have to do anything to receive their refund, and that it will be sent to them automatically in the coming days.

The organisers also apologised for any inconvenience caused.
It’s believed that a lack of ticket sales could be a factor in deciding to pull the event.
