A status yellow snow and ice warning has been extended until Sunday.
In the north west today, it's expected to be generally dry . . .but it will remain cold.
However, motorists are urged to remain cautious because of fallen snow and ice, as Met Eireann forecaster Vincent O Shea has been telling Ocean FM News:
