A status Yellow weather warning has been issued for the north west.
Met Eireann are predicting wind speeds of 50 - 60km/h with gusts upto 100 km/h.
There is also a chance of thundery downpours.
The warning is in place from 11am this morning and remains in until 6pm this evening.
