'Still a long way to go' for women's refuge centre in Sligo

There's still a long way to go in establishing a women's refuge centre in Sligo.

That's according to Sligo Leitrim TD Marian Harkin who was speaking following a motion being passed by Sligo County Council in recent days which supports such a development.

Describing it as a first step of many in the Dail, Deputy Harkin says it seems that there is light at the end of the tunnel.
