An appeal has been launched after a vehicle stolen in Strabane was located, 18 miles away in Donegal, stripped of its parts.
Police say it was part of a well-planned and organised theft.
A burglary was reported at a house in Strabane on Sunday morning, 24th March.
The house had been entered and the keys to a white Audi Q7, were taken some time between 12:30am and 1am
The vehicle was later found on a remote forest road, near Lough Hill Bog, in the vicinity of Ballybofey and had been stripped of its engine, wheels, doors, bonnet and boot.
Anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the Bracken Gate area or has dash cam footage from the Lifford/ Strabane area around 1am on Sunday morning is being urged to contact 101, quoting reference 413 of 24/03/2024 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
