Almost 1400 premises are currently without power in the Ballytivnan area of Sligo.

 

ESB crews are on site to repair the fault with an estimated restoration time of 15.45pm

A further 600 customers are without power in Charlestown.

 

Winds of over 100 kilometres per hour have already been recorded in Mayo as Storm Isha continues to barrel towards Ireland.

Two status red wind warnings have been issued for Donegal at 4pm, and Galway and Mayo for 5pm, while the rest of the country will be under a status orange warning at the same time.

 

ESB Networks says it is monitoring the situation with its network, with power outages expected to increase, particularly in western counties.
