STSG spokesperson responds to 'out of touch' comments made by Sligo County Council

Jamie Murphy of the Sligo Traveller Support Group has responded to criticism aimed at the service today.

A statement released to OceanFM News from Sligo County Council Corporate Service said that the group are 'out of touch.'

Mr. Murphy has responded saying that the local authority have consistently failed to spend their annual budgets for traveller accommodation citing figures in 2017 where only 6% of the funds were drawn down and 30% in 2018.

Speaking to OceanFM News, Jamie Murphy says the figures back up what Sligo Traveller Support Group have been saying.
