Students asked not to travel for accommodation unless necessary

The Union of Students in Ireland says the Government must support student renters due to new restrictions in colleges.

It's after Higher Education Minister, Simon Harris, announced most students across the country have to do their courses online for the next three weeks.

ITSligo have published guidelines for students which states that all on-campus classes for apprentices will commence on Monday while all other classes will take place remotely.

Students are asked not to travel for accommodation unless they are attending in-campus teaching
