Sixty per cent of patients at Sligo University Hospital say they have a 'very good' overall experience at Sligo University Hospital.
That's according to the results of the 2019 National Inpatient Experience Survey launched today.
28% say they had a 'good' experience in the hospital and 12% report a 'fair to poor' experience.
The 2018 figures showed 59% had a 'very good' experience in the hospital, with 27% reporting 'good' and 15% saying their experience was 'fair to poor.'
There were 421 respondents to the 2019 survey with an average age of just over 65 years.
Respondents to the survey gave a score of 8.5 out of 10 for care on the ward, and 8.3 out of 10 for examination, diagnosis and treatment.
