Taoiseach commits to North West road projects at National Conference

Last night's crash happened on the now well-known dangerous stretch of the N4 marked by white crosses in a campaign to highlight the number of people who have been killed over the year.

At the Fine Gael party conference in Ballyconnell over the weekend, the Taoiseach Leo Varadkar gave a welcome committment to the ongoing funding of the plans to upgrade this road.

Sligo Leitrim FG TD Tony McLoughlin says the party's plan is welcome:
