Taskforce needed to advise tourism sector

The government are being urged to create a 'taskforce' to advise the tourism sector on all Covid-19 related issues.

Sligo/Leitrim Independent TD, Marian Harkin, says the taskforce would be the main point of contact for businesses in the tourism industry for enquiring on when they can reopen.

She says it would also work as a liaison between various government departments ensuring businesses in the sector are heard.
