A FF TD in the region says numerous reviews on the future of Regional Veterinary Labs around the country serve only to achieve the outcome the government wants - and that is to close them.
Marc MacSharry claims that it's clear the government wants to close facilities like the lab in Doonally in Sligo along with two of the other six around the country.
He says that is why they have commissioned yet another review.
The Department has confirmed this month that an independent consultant will now review the recommendations of a report by a working group set up last year.
