Sligo Leitrim TD tells his story after being caught up in ‘Sinister Protest’

A Sligo Leitrim TD is warning that Politicians will have to review their security arrangements after yesterday's events outside of Leinster House.

 

Deputy Frank Feighan was one of number of TD's caught up in yesterday's violent scenes.

11 people who were arrested are due to appear in court charged with public order offences.

 

Earlier in the day, two men appeared in court in relation to the same protest.

Deputy Frank Feighan said that while everyone has the right to protest he said yesterday's event went too far.

 

He says security will have to be reviewed at Leinster House.
