Gardai are currently conducting a technical examination of the scene of a serious crash in Sligo Town.
A woman in her 40s was struck by a van in a car park on Cranmore Road at around 7.30pm last evening.
The woman is in a serious condition at Sligo University Hospital.
A section of the Cranmore Road remains closed and local traffic diversions are currently in place - it's not yet known when the road will reopen today.

Gardaí are appealing to any witnesses of this incident to come forward.
