The teenage boy who died after being hit by a car on the N17 at the weekend has been named locally.
17 year old Vakaris Gudaitis, with an address of Tavrane, Kilkelly, County Mayo, and formerly Lithuania, died after being struck by a vehicle near Claremorris on Saturday.

The collision happened at around 9:20pm and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
An investigation into the crash is continuing.
