Thats according to Independent general election candidate John Perry who claims its shameful that Ireland have failed miserably to address disability poverty.
The Sligo/Leitrim candidate claims over 13% of the population live with a disability and their chance of living in consistent poverty has doubled since 2010.
Perry claims disability needs to be dealt with as a social issue and not a health issue:
