Three teenagers appear before Sligo District Court over Halloween assault

Three teenagers appear before Sligo District Court over Halloween assault

Three teenage boys have appeared before Sligo District Court, charged in connection with assault on two other youths in Sligo.

 

The victim, a 14 year old boy, remains in a serious condition at Beaumont Hospital in Dublin while another teenager suffered minor injuries during the incident.

It happened at the Apple Green Service Station on Mail Coach Road shortly after 7pm on Tuesday night.

 

One youth has been charged with assault causing harm to another minor that night.

The other two youths have been charged with assaulting a different teenager and using threatening behaviour on the same night.

 

All three have been released on bail on a number of conditions including a curfew from 7pm - 7am and to have no contact with the victims or any potential witnesses.

 

The case has been adjourned to January 18th and a file is to be sent to the DPP.
