Next Monday's meeting of Leitrim County Council will hear calls to rescind the 25% Commercial Rates charges that apply to vacant commercial properties.
The calls will be made by Manorhamilton Municipal District Councillor Justin Warnock.

The Fianna Fáil Kinlough based Councillor with it now almost impossible to attract new businesses to rent such premises, landlords are simply unable to pay such fees.
