Fianna Fail Councillor Tom MacSharry has been elected on the fifth count in the Sligo/Strandhill area.
There are now two candidates elected in this area, Cllr Declan Bree having topped the poll earlier.

The fifth count also saw the elimination of Labour candidate Nessa Cosgrove, whose 606 votes were then distributed.
