Tommie Gorman to deliver Michael Collins oration at Béal na Bláth

The Former RTÉ northern editor and north west regional correspondent, Tommie Gorman will deliver this year’s oration at Béal na Bláth to mark the 101st anniversary of the death of Michael Collins in the Civil War.

Chairman of the Michael Collins Commemoration Committee, Cllr Garret Kelleher has confirmed that the Sligo native will speak at this year’s event on August 20th.

The former Journalist says he was surprised but hugely honoured to speak at the commemoration.

Previous speakers include leading political figures such as Micheál Martin; Leo Varadkar, President Michael D Higgins; and former Taoiseach,  Enda Kenny.
