Trade Exhibition at Ploughing Championship not going ahead this year

The Ploughing Trade Exhibition will not go ahead this year.

The event normally draws a crowd of about 300,000 people and was due to take place in , Co Laois, in September.

But the organisers say it's been cancelled because of uncertainty about what Covid restrictions will be in place at that point.

The inaugural AGM of the Beef plan movement will take place virtually tomorrow evening.

The organisation are expected to rebrand their identity and a number of local farm officials will take up key executive positions for the year ahead including Sligo farmer Gerry Pilkington
