Sligo County Council and Sligo Gardaí are advising motorists to avoid the second Sea Road this afternoon.
There are reports of flooding at Gibraltar Point,
With Water spilling out on to the main road.
Sligo County Council have earlier this morning deployed personnel to the area.
It’s understood that work is still ongoing at Gibraltar Point to release the surface water, The road remains flooded due to high tide and is impassable.
Gardaí are advising motorists to take alternative routes.
Sligo County Council are also advising that there has been a 2 car accident on the N4 at the Drumfin turnoff. Garda Síochána are currently in attendance. The Council’s outdoor crew are also in attendance clearing the road.
