Tributes have been paid to the late Donal Gallagher who died over the weekend in New York.
Mr Gallagher was 78 and had been a member of the Donegal New York GAA club for many years. He had served as coach and manager over many years.
Donal Gallagher was a native of Killybegs and was point of contact for many Donegal emigrants that travelled to the United States and particularly New York.
He provided valuable assistance to many that travelled to New York when it came to securing employment and was always available to offer assistance in times of need.
Cllr Michael McMahon says the loss of Donal Gallagher will be felt by Donegal people in the US and here at home.
