Tributes have been paid to the late Ballyshannon woman Aisling O Connor who tragically lost her life following a kayaking accident.
The 21-year-old was one of two students from the University of Limerick who got into difficulty while kayaking in Killarney on Saturday.
Ms. O'Connor and another kayaker were taken from the water by members of the HSE-coordinated rescue at around 3pm on Saturday afternoon.
Donegal Municipal District Fine Gael Councillor Barry Sweeney says the news of Aisling's tragic passing has shocked the community.
