The death has been announced of the former Sligo businessman and general election candidate Hugh Glynn.
Mr Glynn, who had been living in Claregalway in recent years, stood unsuccessfully for Fianna Fail the 1989 General Election.
His former party colleague Seamus Kilgannon paid this tribute:
