Tributes are being paid to a south Sligo teenager who died suddenly at the weekend.
Sixteen-year old Eoin Mulkeen, from Achonry, died following a tragic accident.
He was a talented sportsman, having played GAA, rugby and soccer, as well as having been a swimmer.
He played on the Under-17 Sligo rugby team.
In a tribute on social media, Sligo RFC said the U-17 squad and management, along with all the members of Sligo RFC, were heartbroken to lose Eoin.
He is survived by his parents Shane and Ann Marie, sister Kate, grandparents, and extended family.
His funeral Mass will take place tomorrow, Tuesday, at 3pm in the Church of the Sacred Heart in Mullinabreena, with Covid rules, including social distancing, applying. House and funeral strictly private.
