Trolley numbers remain high in North West

The number of people on hospital trolleys waiting for a bed remains high in the North West today.

30 people are trolleys, 22 of them in Letterkenny Univeristy Hospital.

12 of these are in wards and 10 in corridors and overflow areas.

There are eight people on trolleys in Sligo Univeristy Hospital, all of them in overflow areas.

There are 37 people on trolleys in Galway University Hospital.

In total, there are almost 500 people on trolleys waiting for a hospital bed today.
