Tubbercurry has been nominated in the .IE Digital Town Awards 2021.
For their contributions to a 'smart community', the Sligo town is up for the prize of Digital Rising Star.
There are 14 categories with winners sharing a fund of €100,000.
A total of 31 finalists have been selected from 15 counties nationwide.

Joann Hosey, Chairperson of the Tubbercurry and South Sligo Smart Community says they were nominated as the first smart community in the country in 2019.
Speaking to OceanFM News, she says they have been working on building a remote working community with the aim of bring new life into the town.
