A man is in a serious condition in hospital following an overnight crash on the Tubbercurry to Ballina Road.
Gardaí attended the scene of the crash between a car and a pedestrian at around 8.30pm.

The male pedestrian who is in his 20s was taken to Sligo University Hospital with serious injuries.
Gardai say that investigations are ongoing at this time.

The section of the R294 has since reopened.
