Two dolphins have been rescued during a weekend operation in south Donegal.
The alarm was raised on Saturday morning over what appeared to be a mother and her calf stranded on Mountcharles beach.

Locals along with the Irish Whale & Dolphin Group were involved in the operation.
The two dolphins were eventually returned to the sea safely.
