Two hospitalised following Donegal incident

Two men have been hospitalised following a serious assault in county Donegal.

Gardaí are investigating the incident which took place earlier this morning in Lifford.

One man in his 20s was airlifted to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast for treatment of serious injuries.

While, the second man, aged in his 60s was brought to Letterkenny University Hospital by ambulance for treatment of what are described as less-serious injuries.

No arrests have been made and a scene is currently being held for technical examination and Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to the incident to come forward.
