Two north Leitrim councillors were elected to the top positions in their county earlier today.
Fianna Fail Councillor Mary Bohan was selected as the new cathaoirleach of Leitrim County Council.
Fine Gael's Sean McDermott is the new leas-cathaoirleach.
It's Councillor Bohan's third time to serve as cathaoirleach.

She previously held the position in 1985/86 and in 2003/04.
But she expects this to be her toughest term:
