Gardaí in Sligo are investigating an aggravated burglary that occurred in the Ballinode/Hazelwood Road area on Saturday evening last.
At around 8pm that evening, a house in a local residential estate was forcibly entered by a group of males, and two persons in the house were assaulted.
Gardaí are seeking information on two vehicles that were seen in the vicinity of this incident - a white BMW with a novice plate ‘N’ affixed and a black Opel Astra with CE registration.
Gardai want to hear from anyone who may have been in the Ballinode/Hazelwood Road/Short Walk areas of Sligo Town on last Saturday between 7.30pm and 8.30pm and noticed any suspicious activity or saw any of these vehicles.
