Two people rescued off Donegal coast

Two people have been rescued after they were cut off by the tide and left stranded on rocks off the coast of Donegal.

 

The pair were left stranded at around 9.25pm last night after a high tide in the Lambs Bay area of Lough Swilly.

A passing member of the public noticed they were in danger and alerted the emergency services.

 

The Lough Swilly RNLI were subsequently tasked to the area by Malin Head Coast Guard.

The Atlantic 85 was quickly launched at Ned's Point and the volunteer crew made their way to the Lambs Bay area.

 

The rescue crew removed them from the rocks and they were brought safely to shore.
