Uncertain times ahead for north west Homebase stores

The future of Homebase stores in Sligo and Letterkenny looks to be uncertain after it emerged their parent company, HHGL Ltd, are going into provisional liquidation.

It's reported, private merchandise company The Range is set to take over HHGL Ltd, which employs 178 workers in its eight Irish stores.

However, there has been doubt cast over jobs, including at its stores in the north west.

Homebase Sligo and Letterkenny have been approached for comment.
