Updated: Emergency services called after woman spotted in Garavogue River

Emergency services are continuing with searches in Sligo this morning after a woman in her 20s entered the water at Garvaogue River in the early hours of this morning, at around 3am.

The search was stood down later in the morning due to weather conditions but has since resumed with the assistance of Malin Head Coast Guard, Fire Brigade and An Garda Síochána.

In a statement issued to ocean FM Gardai say Investigations are ongoing.
