It could be many years before work begins on upgrading the sewerage scheme at Mullaghmore.
The infrastructure that's currently in place has been deemed inadequate with numerous problems arising as a result.

There have also been several times when a bathing ban was sanctioned in the area.
However, the latest update as it relates to a proposed upgrade is that it won't be coming on stream until 2025 - 2029.
