Upgrade works are needed along the main road to the popular Benbulben Forest Walk.
Sinn Fein Councillor, Thomas Healy, submitted a motion to the council last year and says no works have been carried out since on the Gortarowey Road.
He says there are a number of issues that need to be addressed such as a worsening road surface, the potential widening of the road and the lack of adequate parking.
Speaking to OceanFM News, Councillor Healy says he has sought funding from the government but was told only a Community Involvement Scheme which he feels is unfair.
