Upgrade works have begun around Cuilcagh Mountain to allow easier access to certain points.
€100,000 in LEADER funding is being used to build a new car park in Glan Gap, minor works at the Altachullion Viewing Point, to upgrade signage around Tullydermot Waterfall and also provides for the construction of a lowland walk from Tullydermot to Alteen.
John Paul Feeley is a local Councillor who has been actively highlighting the need for such works over a number of years.
Speaking to OceanFM News, Councilor Feeley says people climbing the mountain has increased significantly in recent years leading to the need for improvements.
