US Democratic Congressman, Brendan Boyle, is visting his ancestral home of Easkey in County Sligo today.
The Congressman from Philadelphia has family connections with Rathlee, where his maternal grandparents once lived.
Congressman Boyle also has close connections on his father's side with Glencolmcille in County Donegal.
He told Ocean FM he was honoured with the reception he got in Easkey today:
