Following a recent EU Commission meeting in Brussels, the IFA National Livestock Vice Chairman, Brendan Golden says the Committee has managed to work through a number of issues of huge importance for Irish beef and livestock farmers.
A number of issues were discussed at the meeting, including cattle prices, imports and exports, CAP 2020 proposals, and payments and, of course, Brexit.
Speaking about cattle prices, Brendan Golden says a number of contributing factors contributed to the market price including increased slaughter numbers:
