Vast areas of Sligo and Leitrim are currently without power this morning.
Over 30 thousand homes and businesses are impacted.
Road users are being urged to be on high alert in the North West following reports of traffic lights being knocked off as a result of the outage.
It's not yet known when power will be restored.
