Victim of weekend crash in Donegal named

A young woman who lost her life in a weekend collision on the outskirts of Letterkenny has been named Layla Hussein Ali.

The 22-year-old had been living in Ireland since March of last year.

The crash, involving a car and a pedestrian happened at Illistrin on Friday evening at around 7pm.

Gardai have renewed their appeal for information.

Anyone travelling the N56 and who witnessed the collision or anyone who has dashcam footage is being asked to make this footage available to Gardai.
