Visiting restrictions are in place at Sligo University Hospital due to a number of cases of patients with vomiting and diarrhoea at the hospital.
General Manager, Grainne McCann, says no visiting is allowed except for 'end of life situations and other exceptional circumstances.'
People can arrange a visit by calling 071 9171111 and ask to be put through to the ward manager.
She says viruses are in the wider community and the restrictions are in place to help protect the most vulnerable patients.
