The visitor time to Carrowmore Tombs in county Sligo has been extended to the first of November.
Sinn Fein Councillor Thomas Healy raised the issue with Minister of State Kevin 'Boxer' Moran this week.
He and other local politicians also called for increased parking at the facility for tourists and buses.
He says it's a welcome news and will increase numbers to the visitor centre:
