Volunteers at Ballyshannon community garden 'disheartened' after vandalism

A Donegal County Councillor has hit out at those responsible for vandalising the community garden in Ballyshannon.

Gardai are continuing their investigation into the incident after a window was smashed and a number of plants were uprooted.

Local Cllr Barry Sweeney says the garden is a fantastic local initiative and something that the community is very proud of.

Cllr Sweeney says while the damage is minor in nature, a lot of work has gone into the garden and the volunteers have been left disheartened over what has happened:
