Polling stations across the north west have officially opened.
People have the chance to have their say on who represent them in Dáil Éireann for the next five years.
The public need to bring identification to the stations and are asked to bring their polling cars- though they can vote without them.
When you get into the polling booth put a number one beside your first choice, two beside your second and so on down the ballot.
Putting Xs or ticks next to candidates could mean your vote is not valid.
Polling stations are open until 10pm tonight.
